“newmath” — TeX Extended Math Font Encodings“newmath” aims at extending TeX's mathematical fonts to 256 characters per encoding, and at providing standard encodings to which all TeX math fonts should obey. It also aims at making all Unicode math symbols available and usable in TeX. On the other hand, the encodings could serve font designers as a guideline in the design of mathematical fonts, as they provide information about which symbols are absolutely necessary and which Unicode symbols are rather exotic. |
LatinModern MathThe LatinModern fonts offer a Type1 replacement for TeXs original ComputerModern fonts – with a character set considerably extended. The fonts are available free of charge, and they are included in most recent TeX distributions. Matching LatinModern Math fonts will be designed by Johannes Küster; see Fonts for more information. MetaType1-DokumentationMetaType1 is a bundle of programs for the design of PostScript Type1 fonts. It is based on MetaFont and MetaPost. MetaType1 is available free of charge here (via anonymous ftp). An extensive documentation will be written by Johannes Küster, in close collaboration with MetaType1's developers. |
